I opted for a side dish of wilted spinach.Dessert: Lemon sponge with winter fruit and served with whipped cream.The starter was fresh, tasty and very well presented. I had read that there was a set menu on offer, but was not permitted to have this as it was meant for hotel guests only.
Started with sweet carrot soup and bread, quite yummy, moved onto the cold meat buffet, salami, chorizo, olives, salad n stuff. My final bill came to £38.50 as it included 10% service. Excellent food and serice although wine was disapointing despite changing. Everything on the menu and drinks had an extra 12.5% added automatically for service. Overall I would eat here again. This visit didn't disappoint. It was quiet and we slept well.Breakfast next morning was our only disappointment , at £16 a head it isn’t cheap, the staff seemed less knowledgable regarding gluten free options, and generally disorganised , service was slow, my gluten free toast was a crust, and as no one knew whether the sausages were gluten free, I was served a little bit of bacon and a very small amount of scrambled egg , the buffet was depleted when we went to it , and no gluten free cereal options, we thought the coffee tasted peculiar , it was suggested we weren’t used to ground coffee!! Loved this hotel experience from start to finish. I followed this with the Tuna Mignon which was really excellent.. Reservieren Sie in diesem Restaurant, indem Sie Datum, Uhrzeit und Personenzahl wählen. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Flies all over food felt that it should of been covered over so never really had anything of it as looked dry and flies put me off then we ordered the roast was told the meat was slightly pink ?
Great service. I arrived about twenty minutes ahead of schedule but was warmly greeted & swiftly seated. We had a bottle of wine with our meal which was pricey but enjoyable. The whole experience was perfect and I will be back soon. Other people who arrived after us where eating long before us (and the same items we ordered)Waiters apologised three or four times for the slowness although never offered explanation or even anything off. Great setting/location as well. Only issue was the lighting! The hotel itself looked incredible.As for the view, it may be of the main road/car park area but to be honest, I didn't find it very off-putting at all because of the quality in the hotel itself and it was nice to watch the world go by outside!I also ate in the restaurant and ordered from room service, everything was beautiful. The main course was very tasty & cooked to perfection, with a very pleasant ju. Only down side was we couldn't eat dinner in restaurant as fully booked but that was our fault for not realising how popular it would be. I'm personally not a fan of having this included, but as it happens, the service I received overall deserved the charge. I was placed on 5th floor and it was very quiet. Clearly passionate about customer service. When drink and food arrived it was good quality. The spotlights in the restaurants are too bright to be pointed directly at the tables. I told them it was my partners birthday and we were treated no differently service was appalling starter took at least half an hour to come out and it was just bread and oil - I asked 3 times for a glass of water and never got one until meal meal came when I pretty much had to beg for one - steaks were terrible - the sweet waitress knew I was not happy as she kept repeatedly asking me if I liked my meal overall I paid £80 for a meal that was not up to scratch at all this restaurant is nothing like they have advertised I felt like I ruined my boyfriends birthday by going here I’m so disappointed.
