The events of this winter week with Marshall are repeated and celebrated in the film, ‘The Pinnacle’ (2010). Indeed, legend has that whilst discussing this buttress with the older and fiercely short-tempered Manchester climber Don Whillans. All my life people have said I'm not very friendly. | However, with his entry into the University Mountaineering Club (EUMC) these studies were to remain in second place to his climbing obsession, but his academic abilities were more than apparent through his published commentary on his climbing exploits, which remains unparalleled even today. Robin enjoyed all sports. All those parties in Hollywood, I liked them well enough, I just had enough of that. He is survived by: his eternal companion, Cathy; his 5 children, Craig Smith (Christie), Jason Smith (Teleysha), Shannon Kempton (Brandon), Jennifer Labrum (Clifton) and Mark Smith (Ashley); 26 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and his brother, James E. Smith. After his mission, Robin continued his education at EAC and played on the tennis team.

He enrolled at the University of Edinburgh in 1956, where he studied philosophy. The most recent Ben Nevis climbing guide refers to Smith's article, claiming that the climb was "named after the great swooping falls taken on the first ascent, much of which was reputedly climbed at night.". Smith died in the Pamirs in July 1962. In December of 1967 Robin met the love of his life, Cathy Claridge.
However several summer alpine seasons saw him achieve a number of notable ascents.
Robin graduated from Thatcher High School in 1964. Her biological father deserted her and her mother at her birth. Their ascent came just before that of another British party including Don Whillans and Hamish MacInnes. He loved sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 1987, the family moved from Texas back to Safford where they lived and raised their children. Robin Smith (30 August 1938 – July 1962) was a Scottish climber of the 1950s and early 1960s. The men jockeys have treated me terrific, but then, all my friends have always been men. Brother of Elaine in Australia, cousin to Judith and the late Joan. After graduation Robin served in the Army for 2 years. But I don't have any ambition to do anything else.
I love horses and speed, and I've always liked competition, but I never knew it would be so satisfying to win.
