Attractively renovated two-bedroom terraced cottage handy for central Harrogate

That's not to say it's stuck in the past; in fact, the Yorkshire Coast's villages and towns combine the traditional with the contemporary effortlessly, with trinket shops and tea rooms sitting alongside upmarket restaurants and champagne bars. Gas fire not working, 2nd bedroom double bed in a single room, very small. From guests that have stayed at the property. While to the east, the North York Moors National Park offers atmospheric moorland, fragrant pine forests and charming towns tucked away within steep-sloped valleys. Bleikers tea-smoked apricot sandwiches, adult scones with birthmark bottle and clotted cream. Some very lovely decorative touches.
Water to shower and bath not very hot.No k. ey to front door.We had a great stay at the cottage ,our second .We hope to return soon. This is Newmarkets alone four-star hotel. Very steep incline to the cottage including 28 steps, so be aware of this. Could not get out of front door if needed too. Could not get out of front door if needed too. It's also well worth striking out to sample some of the other coastal villages nearby.

There is so much to love at this pretty stone cottage. To get to the cottage there are lots of quite steep steps, fine for us but not for someone with mobility issues. The cottage is really close to Sandsend beach and only a very short drive from Whitby. Beautiful cottage and amazing location. For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. At one end of the beach, a little beck meanders into the sea, where ducks congregate and children can paddle safely, while further along the headland are rock pools and fossil hunting opportunities. The family bathroom is also upstairs. It is a cosy and tranquil spot with fabulous view over the valley. This made using the front balcony a inconvenience, and a fire escape route hazard. Its city walls date from the 14thcentury and are among the finest in Europe. Marion

It was a lovely walk into Sandsend with its cafes, little shops and the Hart Inn for a seafood platter.
