There is boat rentals available at Hume Lake Christian Camps at 64144 Hume Lake Rd. Lake Hume campground was amazing - 1st time here. It's nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of 5200 feet. We arrived about 11am... Everyone needs to experience Hume Lake area. A place where legendary fish stories are made, Hume Lake is stocked with trout. Water in the lake just seems to go on forever and it is midnight blue or emerald coloured depending on the light.Next time we come it will be outside of the summer camp program (it was very friendly and atmospheric though). Today Hume Lake is known for its camping and recreation opportunities in addition to the Hume Lake Christian Camps. Sedge hatches occur in late June and early July.
