There are some new features compared to Pascal (10-series), but overall the Turing architecture only seems to account for a 10 percent improvement in CUDA core performance—the rest of the improvement comes via more cores and higher clockspeeds.
Temperatures stayed frosty during testing (50C max—this is one cool cucumber), and the fans aren't even that loud at this speed, so the large cooler and triple fans are definitely doing their job.
