Punitive Isolation – Punitive isolation offenders are not permitted to receive visits. Minor Children (any child under 18) visiting application: Infants and toddlers who are able to walk must wear shoes at all times during the visit. Visitors will be allowed to bring in $20.00 currency and coins to purchase bagged items at the visitation processing center.
Other than items from available vending machines, visitors shall not exchange any object nor article with an offender. A garment is required to be worn underneath the sweater within the guidelines of this policy. The Administrative Head is the assigned authority to approve, deny, or delete names of visitors on visiting lists. Loved ones can continue to stay in touch with incarcerated individuals while visiting is suspended through free Securus phone calls and JPay email messages, according to the DOC. In-state visitors may not schedule a visit more than 14 days in advance. Processing for visitors will begin 30 minutes prior to visiting and conclude at 1 p.m. each day. All visitors under age 18 must be listed on the Visitor Application (DC Form 300-01A) and be accompanied by at least one adult who is identified as legal guardian or immediate family member authorized to accompany those specific minors listed on their application. If you are uncertain as to whether you are on an offender's visitors list or to check the status of your printed application, you may contact the offender you wish to visit. The offender will notify visitors if they have been approved or denied. Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Once a visitor leaves the visiting area for any reason, he/she will not be permitted to return that particular day. Visiting arrangements can be made by calling or emailing the facility. 5. *Morning session registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and afternoon session registration begins at 11:45 a.m. Professional appointment hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for a 2 hour session 8-10 a.m., 9-11 a.m., 10 a.m.-12 p.m. , 12-2 p.m., 1-3 p.m., 2-4 p.m. or Thursday for a 2 hour session 12-2 p.m. ONLY. Visiting is only permitted Friday through Sunday at Kansas City Reentry Center. In such cases, the superintendent will grant permission in writing.
