Bruce is feeling the effects of the drug still, and is currently locked away inside of Arkham Asylum. The main villains of the story, the Children of Arkham, have targeted him for the sins of his parents which has lad to Bruce losing control of Wayne Enterprises, his relationship with Harvey Dent is in tatters with the now Mayor of Gotham City Dent showing a far harsher and brutal side to him as his journey to becoming Two Face teases itself. Now I'm just worried. Now, we are fully aware that there is still one episode remaining in this series, so there is still room for something more to happen, but it just felt like the wind was taken out from underneath the wings on this particular element of the story.The typical Telltale Games performance issues seemed to be a tad bit worse than the previous episodes in Batman – The Telltale Series, with slowdown happening way too often and the usual graphical jitteriness in certain spots. The major choices presented to the player in this episode don’t feel nearly as meaningful as they did in previous episodes. Your email address will not be published. Overall Episode 4 ‘Guardian of Gotham’ did succeed in giving some fan moments with the introduction of Joker which was handled very well for me and to give me the sense that my decisions have indeed shaped the story rather than simply having my choices feel like nothing more than picking a cut scene option.
I also stopped cobblepot because batmans tech is more important than his house, although I think dent is more dangerous generally than cobblepot. That is a rather unique gambit heading into a penultimate episode and adds an extra level of tension going into Guardian of Gotham.
Albeit brief, (because nobody except me wants to spend two hours locked in conversational confusion with the inmates) this interaction gives the episode a different tone and pace, much akin to the capricious nature of Batman’s villains. A mysterious patient at Arkham Asylum known as "John Doe", Joker became an ally to Bruce Wayne while he was incarcerated at the asylum. Let’s hope Batman – The Telltale Series goes out with a bang!
